[Pluto-help] files nome~

Ciao a tutti ... ho installato la mandrake 8.0 ... uso come editor vi
(vim). Ogni volta che apro/modifico un file mi crea anche un file del tipo
nome~ ... cos'e' ? E' possibile evitare che faccia queto ?
