RH8 uses gdm (GNOME Display Manager) by default, and unless you have 
chamged /etc/sysconfig/desktop, /etc/X11/prefdm will spawn this as your 
display manager. Gdm knows hw to do XDMCP, but for security it comes 
shipped with this turned off, so all you have to do is edit 
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf and change the line (in the [xdmcp] section):
Enable=false
to
Enable=true
to make it broadcast xdmcp availlability. telinit 3;telinit 5 and you 
should be up and running with this setting.

Posta per cortesia il tuo Xservers. Dovresti averlo sotto /etc/X11/gdm o 
/etc/X11/xdm.
