[PLUTO-help] problema redhat-conytrol-network

ciao, perdonate la domanda forse un pò idiota e da principiante, ma è normale che ogni volta che lancio redhat-control-network e poi effettuo il logout (passando da X alla modalità testuale) mi vengono visualizzate in chiaro le informazioni riguardanti la connessione? Cioè, qual'è lo scopo di cifrare la password durante la configurazione e poi renderla visibile a tutti gli utenti successivamente? Anche tramite il file widget.

L'errore Gtk ho provato a risolverlo, ho letto il ppp-howto, ho provato ad aggiornare gli rpm necessari e ho provato ad installare tutti i pacchetti Gtk e i pacchetti di sviluppo devel dei cd di redhat9, così come ho letto da qualche parte ma senza esito positivo.
