Il problema dei TLA è questo :), ad un certo punto si trova chi non lo
interpreta. Peraltro  questa è la lista dei  possibili significati che
riporta Wikipedia.

che guardacaso è il gestore SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).

Se non è configurato  correttamente niente posta elettronica.  Per gli
SMS credo occorra HW aggiuntivo oppure fai come mia moglie che, per un
sito con un bacino potenziale di alcuni milioni di utenti, ha istruito
Nagios  a mandare  E-mail  all'account  che ha  presso  il gestore  di
telefonia mobile, e questo manda lo SMS di avviso.

Nel  suo caso  c'è stata  anche una  raffica da  diverse  centinaia di
messaggi il  giorno che  l'infrastruttura di rete  (non è cosa  sua) è
andata giù -  messaggi inviati non appena l'infrrastruttura  di rete è
stata riattivata.
