Oggetto: [PLUTO help] Problema con il reboot
Salve a tutti,
tempo fa ho installato Natty Narwhal con Unity sul mio
portatile Asus k50in e mi sono subito accorto che il reboot non
funzionava. Avevo già installato i driver per la scheda grafica nvidia
G102M. In pratica quando mando il reboot sia da interfaccia che da
terminale vengono effettuati correttamente tutti i processi di
preparazione al riavvio ma il computer si blocca al restarting system e
devo spegnerlo tramite il pulsante di accensione. Con lo shutdown invece
nessun problema. Speravo che l'inconveniente si risolvesse con
l'aggiornamento alla 11.10 ma la situazione è rimasta la stessa. Mi sono
documentato in rete ma, pur avendo reperito casi simili al mio anche
con versioni più vecchie di Ubuntu e con altri computer, non ho trovato
soluzioni. Secondo alcuni, sarebbero responsabili i driver della scheda
grafica. Potrebbe essere anche un problema di acpi, ma non usando linux
da parecchio tempo non so dove mettere le mani. Ho dato un'occhiata a /var/log/dmesg ma il testo è molto lungo e i richiami all'acpi sono frequenti.
Qualcuno sa come risolvere questo problema abbastanza comune? Ringrazio chiunque voglia gentilmente aiutarmi.
