[PLUTO-help] avr-libc e gcc

Ciao a tutti, ho installato binutils e gcc compilati per i microcontrollori 
AVR, il tutto è stato compilato per finire in /usr/local/avr.
Ho aggiunto /usr/local/avr/bin nella PATH ed ora ho tutti i vari avr-as 
avr-gcc etc...
Ora per terminare l'installazione volevo compilare avr-libc ma sorge un 
problema col configure, per l'esattezza il messaggio che ricevo è:

... non capisco, gli altri avr-as, avr-ar etc pare li trovi e li c'è pure 
avr-gcc con gli stessi permessi...

Qualcuno ha avuto esperienze in merito?
le avr-libc sono le avr-libc-20020630
