Gcc e` una suite di compilatori, non e` un unico compilatore
omnicomprensivo per tutti i linguaggi.
Pare che ti manchi il compilatore del C++
Se esegui "gcc -v" dovresti vedere le opzioni con cui e` stata compilata 
la suite.
Che distro stai usando?
