[PLUTO-help] Problemi Amilo A1650

Salve, vi scrivo questa e-mail perchè ho un problema con linux e visto che sono un ignorante neofita ho deciso di rivolgermi a voi.

Sabato ho acquistato il mio primo portatile un amilo A 1650 questo pomeriggio ho provato ad installare Mandrake Linux 10.1 italiano (lo stesso che ho installato sul mi pc di casa) ma all'avvio dopo le solite schermate di riconoscimento hardware mi dice periferica cd-rom not found, io all'nterno del portatile ho un masterizzatore/lettore Dvd Nek + - RW ND-6500A che mi funge naturalmente anche da lettore cd-rom. Specificando quello sopra descritto tengo a precisare che l'avvio da bios è impostato dal dvd rom quindi passaggi che il pc fa sono i seguenti....

1; Avvio pc con DVDROM di Mandrake linux all'interno del driver
2: riconoscimento da parte del pc e avvio dal DVD ROM 
3; durante le schermate Mandrake che scorrono in modo abbastanza veloce rileva un errore di floppy drive non trovato (naturalmente il floppy sul portatile non c'è) e un errore di CDROM not found si ferma li e non mi da la possibilità di andare avanti.
